IADT Psychologist speaks at All Ireland Psychology Undergraduate Careers Event

NIBPS/PSI Annual All Ireland Psychology Undergraduate Careers Event
Queens University Belfast - Saturday 21st February 2015

The NIBPS/PSI Annual All Ireland Undergraduate Careers Event was hosted by Queens University Belfast last Saturday, 21st February 2015.

The aim of this annual event is to provide undergraduate students, currently studying Psychology, with information on some of their options for further specialised study in the discipline of Psychology at postgraduate level, such as studying on Masters programmes in areas such as Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Forensic Psychology.

IADT was represented at the event by Dr. Olivia Hurley, who, along with her colleague from UL, Dr. Tadhg MacIntyre, presented a talk on further study and careers in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology. The talk was entitled The What, How and Why of Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology. A number of graduates of IADTs Applied Psychology undergraduate program were also in attendance, working as student volunteers at the event.

The event was a great success and the host institution for this annual event in 2016 will be announced shortly.
