CCTA Update March 2012

This has been a busy term at the CCTA. The Department of Learning Sciences seminars have concluded. This term there were three talks. Bernard Jackman spoke on how to create a winning mindset in January, Dr Elizabeth Nixon from TCD spoke her research into children as agents in one parent families in February and Dr Maura Conway of DCU concluded this year’s talks in March with her talk on terrorism and the Internet. Thanks to all our speakers this year and to Dr Olivia Hurley for organising the seminars.

IADT student took part in Robocode 2012 this March and acquitted themselves well. Thanks to the multimedia students and lecturers who took part. IADT students went to Limerick in early March to attend the PSI Careers Fair where Dr Olivia Hurley spoke on sport psychology and took part in the 34th PSI Annual Student Congress in Belfast on 24 March winning the best undergraduate presentation and poster commendations.
