CCTA staff present at the APWG eCrime Researchers sync-up

CCTA staff Andrew Power and Grainne Kirwan attended and presented at the APWG (Anti-Phishing Working Group) eCrime Researchers sync-up in University College Dublin on March 7th and 8th.

The Anti-Phishing Working Group is a non-profit global association focused on eliminating the fraud, crime and identity theft that result from phishing and other online tactics. Their website is at www.antiphishing.org

The sync-up included many interesting presentations regarding the legal and technological aspects of phishing, malware and online fraud. Andrew and Grainne gave a presentation - Exploitation of Human Psychological Processes in Online Crime - which arose from their recent book on the Psychology of Cyber Crime
