Imagine Cup 2008

There are two teams in the Irish final of the Imagine Cup 2008 representing IADT and the School of Creative Technologies. This is the premier software design challenge competition and Irish students were in the top teams in the final in Korea last year.
The Irish National Final of the Imagine Cup in Leopardstown takes place on Thursday April 10th. This year the theme is: Imagine a world where technology enables a sustainable environment. It is one of the most challenging and inspirational themes yet. The students will have to present their projects to technical and business judges on the day. Louise Glynn, Donal Fenwick, Adam Fleetwood and Des Sherwin designed and developed a prototype of an innovative technology enabled recycling system. Clodagh Veale, Keelan Byrne, Shane O Moore and SaraJane Doodan designed a prototype of an intelligent utilities (esb, gas etc) monitoring system. The teams are final year undergraduates on DL142 BSc (Hons) in Computing Multimedia Systems-Web Design. CCTA wishes the student teams all the best in the forthcoming final.
