CCTA January 2012

CCTA has a busy start to the year. It hosted with IADT a visit from Dan Tani a NASA astronaut last Thursday 12 January. Astronaut Tani talked about the psychology of space and how being in the International Space Station is managed from a pscyhological point of view. He was very interesting about the cognitive load that lack of gravity adds to every day activities. Having to think where to put things or how to move at all times is demanding.

IADT hosts a CAO Open Evening this coming Wednesday 18 January from 4-8 pm for prospective applicants to our undergraduate programmes. There are talks on Computing/Multimedia at 6 pm, Audio Visual Media Technology at 6.15 pm and Applied Psychology at 6.30 pm. All talks take place in A025.

Later this month on 28 January there will be a Department of Learning Sciences seminar presented by Jonathan Sinden of Paddypower.com.
