Imagine Cup 2011 Software Design Competition - CCTA projects in finals 13, 14 April 2011

CCTA is delighted to announce that three of the 12 shortlisted projects for the Irish final of the Imagine Cup Software Design Competition are from the School of Creative Technologies at IADT.

The three projects are:
1 Agritext
2 Explorawalk
3 Music that Matters

The 2 teams, each comprising of four students, from the Multimedia Programming programme and the Applied Psychology programme in the Creative Technologies School have designed innovative solutions ,which if implemented could help solve the toughest problems facing us today. Rioghan O’Cunniffe , Aoife Carrigan, Lisa Mangan and Paula Hynes designed a prototype of an agricultural educational Windows 7 phone application, web and texting support service for 3rd world farmers called AgriText.

Emmanuelle Cerovic-Bunn, Louise Macaulay, Sean Bolger and Jessica Boyd Farrell designed Explorawalk, a Windows 7 Phone application, aimed at encouraging families to participate in team based outdoor activities by providing them with an educational, motivational, entertainment tool.
