Eye Movement Research

In November we were visited by Brendan Rooney and his colleagues from UCD. Brendan presented his work using eye tracking technology to explore attention to aversive stimuli and how it relates to emotional sensitivity. Conor O Malley and Lauren Kavanagh presented their work. Conor has used the Eye tracker to explore Ironic process of Attention. For example the instructions not to look at a red balloon make us look at it. Lauren has used it to explore reading patterns with Irish language. This was an enjoyable and informative seminar attended by a diverse audience of students and staff from across the Institute.
